The most successful published authors learn to think like the journal editors who review their manuscripts. This webinar is a unique opportunity to hear from four editors of major leadership nursing journals. The editors will discuss their journal mission, the review process, types of articles that are published or not published and timeframes from submission to publication. The editors will also give their advice on how to select the best journal for your manuscript along with ways to help your work stand out.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

1. Identify how to select a target journal for a manuscript.

2. Distinguish the characteristics of a manuscript that will be attractive to a journal and use this knowledge to prepare the manuscript.

3. Describe the journal article peer review process, revision requests and timelines.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

• This activity was developed to meet the needs of nurse leaders who are interested in publishing this work.

• This webinar is appropriate for nursing faculty who teach in leadership programs, nurse leaders in practice settings and graduate students in DNP or PhD programs whose scholarly work focuses on nursing leadership.

NURSING CEs

• This course has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider #CEP16785, for a maximum of 1.00 Nursing Contact Hour. The licensee must retain this document for a period of four (4) years after the course concludes. 
• All participants will receive their certificate of attendance with CE after completion of the webinar survey.
